An object thrown at a certain angle to the ground moves in a curved path and falls back to the ground. The initial and the final points of the path of the object lie on the same horizontal line. What is the work done by the force of gravity on the object?

Here, question says we have to find the work done by only force of gravity. ( Gravitation Force ).

Here students you can imagine that when an object is thrown in curved path then force is acting by gravitation towards the earth and displacement is going in horizontal position so angle between force and displacement forms 90 degree Hence we know that when the angle is formed 90 between force and displacement of an object we can say that work done by an object is Zero.

Hence No work done by the force of gravity on the object.
